Altuzarra Spring 2027 is ready to have a little more fun. Joseph Altuzarra looked to Casa Susanna, the mid-century Catskills retreat where men gathered to dress as women, drawn to the freedom and joy captured in its photographs. That spirit comes through in a runway that swings between masculine and feminine codes: raw silk taffeta madras skirts meet oversized biker jackets, while twisted shifts sit beside exaggerated ’50s workwear shapes and leather grommet belts.

The contrasts get sharper from there. Workwear trousers, soft T-shirts, cardigans and tailored pieces are finished with removable menswear collars and cuffs, then layered against slips and linen handkerchief pieces. Across Altuzarra, that push-pull between polished dressing and tougher outerwear has long been part of the appeal, but Spring 2027 turns the dial up with more color, exposed layers and pieces that look like they have been pulled apart and put back together.

One of the clearest ideas comes through tropical wool cut open to reveal embroidery underneath, with lingerie details peeking through ripped tanks and shifts. A bubblegum-pink version zips along the side, while pleated, hand-embroidered dresses and gauzy cocktail knits add sparkle through crystals and dégradé sequin hems. It is a bigger, louder shift from recent seasons, but the clothes still land in a very Altuzarra place: tailored, sensual and slightly undone.
