BTS wearing Polo Ralph Lauren on tour feels almost too perfectly cast. During Act 2 of the group’s August 1 ARIRANG World Tour stop at MetLife Stadium, Jin, SUGA, j hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook all stepped out in full looks from the American label. Polo’s world usually brings to mind campus wardrobes, country clubs and decades of American sportswear. Put that same vocabulary on seven BTS members in front of a stadium crowd and things get considerably more fun.
The appeal is in seeing one recognizable fashion language split seven different ways. Polo Ralph Lauren released individual images of every member, so the wardrobe never collapses into matching group dressing. Each look gets its own personality while still belonging to the same preppy universe. It also makes sense within the broader Polo Ralph Lauren wardrobe, where collegiate references and classic American sportswear have always been part of the conversation. BTS simply turned the volume way up.
Tour wardrobes can get theatrical fast, which makes this chapter especially good. Instead of chasing another stage only concept, BTS took familiar Polo codes and let the scale of the performance change them. The MetLife Stadium dates ran August 1 and 2, with the Polo Ralph Lauren looks appearing during the first night. Seven members, one label and a stadium full of ARMY is apparently all American prep needed for a very different night out.
