Collina Strada took the scenic route for Spring 2027. Hillary Taymour staged the collection, titled “Detour,” at Storm King Art Center, where models moved through the landscape around Alexander Calder’s “The Arch” while Carly Rae Jepsen performed. The clothes followed the same offbeat logic, mixing organza feathers, ruffles, chiffon and recycled sequins with plaid and moiré for what Taymour described as a “grungy Renaissance girl living in a modern world.”

That fantasy comes with a practical side. Oversized bloom pants and cargo shapes add volume, while trailing gowns and sheer layers move dramatically in the open air. Taymour also considered how customers actually dress, adding long sleeves for wedding guests, cap sleeves and roomier trousers for changing bodies. Drawstring bags even match some of the draped skirts.

Footwear gets its own headline with the debut of the Converse x Collina Strada Chuck Taylor Plié, a dance-informed silhouette scheduled for a December 3 global launch. The shoe fits a collection built around opposites: romance and rebellion, drama and utility, fantasy and clothes that still need to earn a place in someone’s closet. That balance is what makes “Detour” feel like more than a scenic fashion-week side trip.
