
1199 (ONEONE NINENINE) is a Paris-based brand born between Hong Kong, internet culture, and the international underground music scene. After two years of organic growth driven by a global community, the brand presents its first runway show in Paris in June 2026: “HOMEWORK / GRADUATION”. The title of the show, “Homework / Graduation” encapsulates this evolution. “Homework,” a reference to Daft Punk’s seminal album, evokes the years of building, research, and development behind the project. “Graduation,” a reference to Kanye West’s album, marks the transition into a new dimension: that of a brand that is no longer simply seeking to exist within its community, but to establish itself permanently within the global fashion landscape.

The brand’s story began in Hong Kong. The creators grew up in an English speaking, multicultural environment, surrounded by Asian culture, the internet, luxury, Japanese pop culture, and Western influences. Hong Kong is not just a backdrop in the story of 1199. It is a city that shaped the way they see images, objects, consumption, music, and fashion.
Paris came later as a place of transformation. It is where all of these influences merged: internet culture, art, hip hop, underground culture, electronic music, pop culture, fashion, forums, imagery, clothing, and online communities. In 2020, during Covid, the brand launched an Instagram page from Hong Kong in order to sell clothing and accessories sourced locally to a community in Europe and the United States that was already highly connected to fashion and music. Very quickly, artists from the French underground scene and American hip hop began gravitating around the project.
At that moment, a new French music scene was emerging: freer, more mixed, more global, with a much more instinctive and uninhibited relationship with fashion. 1199 was built within this environment.

In 2022, the creators moved to Paris and founded 1199. From the beginning, the project was based on a simple idea: to create without taking themselves too seriously, at a distance from the traditional codes of Parisian fashion, while pushing product, imagery, and communication to an extremely high level of precision.
1199’s creations sometimes appear simple, almost childlike, sometimes ironic, but they are saturated with references: music, internet culture, everyday objects, underground culture, art, vintage clothing, and invisible details. The first pieces, developed over many months, quickly became recognizable objects within their community: the Cowboy Hugs, the Forever27 Bracelets, and the EarBoxers.
Even before their commercial release, these pieces appeared in music videos, on stage, and on Instagram, worn by artists and cultural figures close to the brand in both France and the United States.

Very quickly, a question began circulating, especially in the United States: who is this Parisian brand whose faces nobody really knows, that communicates exclusively in English, that can be seen everywhere, yet whose products are not even available yet? Since then, the 1199 universe has continued to expand: new bracelet variations, new footwear, new garments, collaborations with Fakemink, Osamason, 63OG, 63Kluf, Welcome.jpeg, and other artists or collectives close to its environment.
Everything about 1199 appears spontaneous, but nothing is left to chance. Today, the brand has a community in more than 70 countries. The United States now represents a major part of the brand’s growth, driven primarily by its digital and organic reach, even though the project was born between Hong Kong and Paris. 1199 was built without a traditional structure, without a classic corporate narrative, but through the internet, music, imagery, communities, and human connections.
At the same time, the brand continues to develop a strong relationship with Hong Kong and China, both culturally and personally. In March 2026, for the brand’s second anniversary, 1199 presented several limited editions, collaborations, and new products celebrating the universe that had been built around the project.
