The Vibe :
⊹ Reparto’s NICHE & CHIC collection plays with the contradiction between sophisticated elegance and gloriously tacky dressing.
⊹ Leopard-print sequins, hot pink taffeta, asymmetric shirts and ironic slogan tees bring the attitude.
⊹ Late-19th-century Paris provides the inspiration, where bohemian culture and the idea of chic crossed paths.
⊹ Designers Margil Peña and Ana Viglione turn nostalgia, desire and adolescence into a deliberately decadent wardrobe.
Reparto Spring 2027 has a question for the fashion police. Who decided what counts as good taste, anyway? For “NICHE & CHIC,” Madrid-based designers Margil Peña and Ana Viglione are bringing together two worlds that aren’t supposed to get along. The inspiration comes from late-19th-century Paris, where bohemian culture was finding its footing just as “chic” became shorthand for sophistication. Naturally, Reparto decided the most interesting place to be was somewhere between the two, preferably wearing something gloriously tacky.

Leopard-print sequins, hot pink taffeta and black contrasts bring the visual chaos, while custom badges and asymmetric button-downs keep the styling unpredictable. Then there are the slogan tees, with “Fashion Victim” and “Everything Looks The Same” delivering a wonderfully sarcastic jab at the industry. It’s the same irreverent humor that runs through Reparto’s earlier work, only this time there’s a more decadent Parisian attitude thrown into the mix. Elegance and bad taste are getting along suspiciously well.

Made in Madrid with Paris in mind, “NICHE & CHIC” pulls from nostalgia, desire and adolescence, treating fashion as a place where underground culture can rub shoulders with traditional sophistication. Since founding Reparto in 2019, Peña and Viglione have used imagined characters and personal experiences to poke fun at the industry and the strange rituals of getting dressed. Following FW26’s “Backlot,” the duo continues that conversation with a collection that puts the word “chic” next to leopard sequins and dares anyone to complain.
