Ermanno Scervino is taking pirate style somewhere decidedly more glamorous for Spring 2027. Presented at Milan Fashion Week, the collection looked to 18th-century naval uniforms and Treasure Island, bringing ornate gold trim, corset details and plenty of lace into the picture. Double-breasted jackets featured delicate lacing along the sides, while wide-leg sailor trousers gave the tailoring a nautical reference. The real standouts were the corsair-inspired jackets, with elaborate metallic braiding recalling both historical uniforms and The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s era.

The softer pieces offered a different kind of romance. Sparkling rose lace dresses and copper satin slips appeared alongside bustier tops and tiered skirts, while oversized tuxedo shirts were worn open over pouf and leather minis. Scervino also worked with perforated suede embroidered with organza ribbons, giving traditionally substantial materials a lingerie-inspired finish. Hand-treated nappa jackets had an unexpectedly lightweight feel, bringing another interesting contrast to the collection’s more decorative pieces.

The Treasure Island references continued through tropical landscapes featuring palm trees and beaches, appearing on sweaters, jeans and denim jackets. A brown babydoll dress combined pleated silk chiffon with lace and a faded denim-effect print. Meanwhile, cotton and denim jackets in red, blue, black and gold featured elaborate frogging across their collars, cuffs and fronts. Raffia accessories, shell jewelry and hand-finished details completed the lineup, giving the collection plenty to look at beyond its nautical inspiration.
