Etro Spring 2027 arrived at Milan Fashion Week with a new creative setup and a softer interpretation of the house’s familiar bohemian style. Following Marco De Vincenzo’s departure, the in-house design team introduced “Halo,” a collection inspired by the changing light throughout the day. Powdery pastels opened the lineup before gradually shifting toward darker evening shades, while signature paisley prints appeared blurred, faded and noticeably less pronounced. It was a gentler take on Etro’s traditionally elaborate approach to pattern and layering.

Paisley appeared across printed caftans and nylon windbreakers, but the more interesting interpretations came through tonal patches on suede and denim blousons. The house’s longstanding love of printed Etro dresses continued through diaphanous, frilled silhouettes that brought back its familiar ’70s references. Some featured floating trains, delicate fringes and sheer sections, giving the romantic pieces plenty of movement. The contrast between those lightweight dresses and practical outerwear added a welcome sporty element to the otherwise delicate styling.

Crocheted frocks, ruffled shirts, jacquard trousers and lingerie-inspired tops filled out the lineup, joined by slipdresses and sharper tailoring. The palette moved through yellow, orange, blue and green before settling into burgundy, brown and black as the imagined day progressed. There was an appealing lightness to the individual pieces, even if the collection occasionally felt less cohesive than Etro’s more expressive seasons. Still, the tonal paisley jackets, airy dresses and unexpected nylon layers offered some interesting ways to revisit the house’s signature prints.
