LEINWÄNDE Fall 2026 is happiest when something looks just shy of finished. Under the theme Comfort in a Little Imperfection, hand stitching, exposed overlock seams, frayed edges, hanging yarn and uneven embellishment are left where you can see them. Vintage shirts are reconstructed into new shapes, while asymmetry and deliberate gaps break up otherwise simple pieces. It is less about making clothes look distressed than letting the making process stay visible.
The knits push that idea furthest. Fringe Polo Shirts and the Alpaca Fringe Vest use irregular, hand-applied fringe, while the Botanical Embroidery Cardigan places dimensional floral yarnwork over a clean high-gauge base. Twisting Volumed Trousers curve their side seams toward the front and add small tucks around the knee for extra shape. The contrast between something familiar and something slightly off has long been part of LEINWÄNDE’s appeal.
Fall 2026 also gets more personal. Vintage ski underlayers inform a fleece top, track pants are recast for everyday wear, and T-shirts and jersey tops are stripped back around carefully shaped shoulders. Photographer Takanori Okuwaki shoots model Isadora Ribeiro for the lookbook, with Satomi Suzuki on hair and Kie Kiyohara on makeup.

Founded in 2017 by a Japanese designer based in London, LEINWÄNDE brings playful functionality to a mature wardrobe. Refined sensuality, utilitarian details, textured knits, and unexpected proportions give the label its artful modern character.
