The Vibe :

⊹ Mame Kurogouchi Fall Winter 2026 looks at fog, mountains and Japanese glass through a textile lens.

⊹ Sheer dresses, translucent outerwear and layered fabrics give the season its hazy surface.

⊹ Green shifts from misty tones to deeper shades inspired by forests and Japanese glass.

⊹ Technical outerwear pulls mountain gear into the same wardrobe as silk and tailoring.

Mame Kurogouchi Fall Winter 2026 lives somewhere between Tokyo and the mountains of Nagano. Designer Maiko Kurogouchi began with the way a familiar landscape can disappear under fog, then slowly return through flashes of green. That hazy view runs through the season in sheer layers, translucent fabrics and surfaces that catch light like glass. The latest Tokyo Look gives Mame Kurogouchi plenty of space to play with what can be seen, obscured and revealed.

Ultra fine nylon spark yarn creates a steam like effect across asymmetrically draped dresses and blouses, while plant motifs appear through weaving and printing. Sheer zip jackets expose parts of their internal construction, and layered anoraks and capes bring an outdoor edge into the wardrobe. Green does serious work here too, moving through emerald, forest and softer mist covered tones inspired by vegetation and Japanese wa glass.

The mountain references get more literal through lightweight nylon outerwear and trail vest shapes, but they never turn the collection into hiking gear. Cord embroidery, silk tailoring and delicate transparent layers keep pulling the clothes back toward the city. The season also introduces leather accessories made with Tsuchiya Kaban, including curved bags and harness forms with carabiners. One wardrobe, two environments, and plenty happening in the space between them.
