The Vibe :
⊹ Josie Natori revisits the label’s signatures ahead of its 50th anniversary in 2027.
⊹ Peonies move beyond print into laser-cut appliqués, lace accents and tonal embroidery.
⊹ Silk blouses and sheer layers connect lingerie dressing with the designer’s Philippine heritage.
Natori gives spring florals a more interesting assignment for 2027: become the trousers. Peony-shaped, laser-cut appliqués form a white pair that takes the flower well beyond a familiar print. It’s a good introduction to Josie Natori’s label, where lingerie dressing, expressive patterns and references to her Philippine roots belong in the same wardrobe. With the business approaching its 50th anniversary in 2027, the designer revisits those signatures through pieces that invite a closer look.

The peonies turn painterly elsewhere, joining ocean-blue wave prints across an asymmetric caftan and draped silk blouses. A matching scarf tied around the waist makes the blouse styling particularly appealing. The silk gets to move, while the scarf gives the outfit another point of interest without adding a whole extra layer. These are the details that make Natori’s ready-to-wear a useful discovery: recognizable shapes, a generous dose of print and a styling idea you can actually picture wearing.

Lingerie references bring a different texture to the shirting. A button-down with floral lace accents sits over a lace-trimmed bralette, letting the delicate edges participate in the outfit. On Filipino barong shirts, tonal floral embroidery draws attention to the surface without a big color contrast. Peony embroidery also appears on sheer black pieces, changing the mood of the same flower again. Across the white appliqué trousers, embroidered shirts and transparent black styles, the motif gets several distinctly different treatments.
