The Vibe :

⊹ Spell’s Golden collection takes inspiration from nostalgic island holidays, vintage fashion editorials and tropical coastlines.

⊹ Crisp cotton ruffles, sun-washed colors and bold floral prints bring a romantic summer mood.

⊹ Silky jacquards, lace, tassels and self-covered buttons add vintage-inspired details.

⊹ The campaign stars Aida Nerri, photographed by Emily Yates and styled by Charlotte Stokes.

Spell is headed back to the beach with Golden, a resort collection inspired by the kind of island getaway that lives in an old photograph. Think empty stretches of sand, leaning palms and the sun-soaked romance of The Blue Lagoon. The Australian label also looked to Kate Moss’s Castaway editorial for British Vogue, translating those escapist references into a wardrobe of printed dresses, airy fabrics and sun-washed colors. It’s a return to the coastal imagery and memories that have long shaped the brand.

Ruffles move through crisp cotton pieces, while bold tropical florals appear across flowing silhouettes. Silky jacquards bring another texture to the mix, alongside self-covered buttons, tassels and lace that give the more delicate styles a vintage-inspired finish. The lineup includes the Isola Strappy Dress and Isola Gown, alongside the Fleur De Lis Mini Dress. There’s an interesting contrast between the vivid botanical prints and softer, washed-out tones, with pieces suited to everything from afternoons on the sand to dinners after sunset.

The Fleur story revisits familiar Spell favorites, reworking earlier designs while keeping their romantic character intact. Aida Nerri fronts the campaign, photographed by Emily Yates with styling by Charlotte Stokes. The tropical setting reflects the label’s longstanding fascination with island escapes, while the clothes bring those references into everyday resort dressing.

About The Author

  • Author - Andrea

From fashion and beauty to health and wellness, she enjoys sharing and connecting on the topics that help to make our everyday lives just a bit brighter. If you don't find her behind her laptop writing her latest article, you'll also find her walking her dog, whipping up a new recipe, or scouring the mall for the latest trends.

Andrea's experience in fashion began after graduating from the Fashion Marketing and Merchandising program from the Academy of Design in Toronto, ON. She broke out into the competitive world of fashion by launching her own online boutique, selling women's clothing and accessories. From there, very quickly, she discovered online selling was not for her. She now prefers to stay behind the computer, chatting about fashion in a written format that still allows her to connect with fellow style enthusiasts.

And, since then, she has never looked back, writing for independent magazines, small businesses, and everything in between. Andrea now also occasionally writes for companies and brands outside the fashion and beauty industry, but at the end of the day, her heart remains loyal to what she knows best—great fashion.
