Brunello Cucinelli took crochet somewhere unexpected for Spring 2027, turning materials typically reserved for furniture into some of the season’s most interesting pieces. Raffia and cane webbing appeared as jackets and wrap skirts, bringing a distinctly botanical character to the Milan Fashion Week presentation. The designer’s idea of “harmony in contrast” played out through intricate handmade knits paired with roomy cotton jeans and shorts, giving all that elaborate handwork a refreshingly casual setting.

The garden references continued with crocheted windflowers decorating a lightweight bomber jacket made from linen, silk and Lurex. Balloon skirts, flared silhouettes and belted sleeveless safari jackets brought variety to the proportions, while cropped cargo pants kept the styling grounded. Sequins and subtle sparkle appeared across knits and jackets, adding a little shine to the natural textures. Even the more elaborate Brunello Cucinelli knitwear maintained a relaxed attitude alongside practical cotton separates.

There was plenty happening beneath those understated surfaces, too. Special shaping techniques gave mesh and honeycomb textures added structure, while outerwear in organza, striped poplin and denim introduced a lighter approach to daywear. The palette moved through khaki, cardamom, rope and ivory, allowing the intricate woven patterns and occasional sequins to stand out. Between the cane-inspired crochet, airy fabrics and utility silhouettes, the collection found an interesting balance between decorative detail and clothes designed for everyday wear.
