Gcds Takes Meme Culture Home For Summer 2026

The Vibe :

⊹ Giuliano Calza opens his Milan apartment for the SS26 campaign.

⊹ Meme captions and hashtags appear directly across the photographs.

⊹ Marble, wood paneling and terraces bring Milanese design into the feed.

⊹ The tooth-heeled Morso shoe plays along with the internet humor.

GCDS Spring/Summer 2026 takes the fashion campaign somewhere it already spends plenty of time: the group chat. Creative director Giuliano Calza stages the images inside his Milan apartment, while photographer Carmine Romano frames marble surfaces, wood paneling and broad terraces as the backdrop for a feed-ready joke. Overlay text, captions and hashtags arrive baked into the pictures, so the campaign looks less like traditional advertising and more like a meme that happened to get an editorial budget.

The domestic setting keeps the joke specific. Calza’s own furniture and Italian interiors sit behind polished SS26 looks, creating a funny collision between Milanese design history and the visual shorthand of Reels, screenshots and reposts. Rather than asking the audience to turn the images into memes later, GCDS skips a step and supplies the punch lines itself. The signature Morso shoe brings the same surreal attitude found across GCDS fashion, with its tooth-shaped heel matching the humor running through the frames.

Fashion brands have spent years trying to speak fluent internet, but GCDS understands that online language works best when it is built into the image rather than pasted onto a rollout afterward. These photographs are designed to circulate, crop cleanly and survive outside the original post. Between the pristine apartment, embedded hashtags and Morso heels, SS26 makes Milanese luxury look perfectly at home beside the reaction image in your camera roll.

About The Author

  • Author - Andrea

From fashion and beauty to health and wellness, she enjoys sharing and connecting on the topics that help to make our everyday lives just a bit brighter. If you don't find her behind her laptop writing her latest article, you'll also find her walking her dog, whipping up a new recipe, or scouring the mall for the latest trends. Andrea's experience in fashion began after graduating from the Fashion Marketing and Merchandising program from the Academy of Design in Toronto, ON. She broke out into the competitive world of fashion by launching her own online boutique, selling women's clothing and accessories. From there, very quickly, she discovered online selling was not for her. She now prefers to stay behind the computer, chatting about fashion in a written format that still allows her to connect with fellow style enthusiasts. And, since then, she has never looked back, writing for independent magazines, small businesses, and everything in between. Andrea now also occasionally writes for companies and brands outside the fashion and beauty industry, but at the end of the day, her heart remains loyal to what she knows best—great fashion.
