Everyone is buzzing about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which took place Sunday, October 18, in Los Angeles. As always, the show delivered on sultry lingerie, ethereal wings, and pop culture moments that will inevitably be reshared across social media for months to come. Naturally, the glam was just as memorable, and with Pat McGrath returning as makeup lead for the second consecutive year, we knew we had to take notes. This year, the legendary makeup artist said she wanted to embrace the “extraordinary fantasy of Victoria’s Secret with beautiful, luminous skin, dazzling shimmer, and gorgeous lashes.” Ahead, our take on how to recreate the luminous, heavenly glam seen on this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Base
The goal is to achieve a glowy, radiant complexion that catches the light both on the runway and off. Start with a hydrating skincare routine, then layer on a light-catching primer before applying foundation and concealer. Bring warmth back into the complexion with a sweep of bronzer and a touch of blush concentrated on the apples of the cheeks. Finally, amp up the luminosity with highlighter along the cheekbones and bridge of the nose for that signature light-reflective finish.
Eyes & Lips
Set the brows in place with a clear or tinted brow gel, then sweep a taupe eyeshadow across the lids. Deepen the crease with a slightly darker shade, creating a subtle cut-crease effect, and blend everything seamlessly for a soft, diffused finish. Next, press a shimmery eyeshadow topper onto the inner portion of the lids and into the tear ducts to instantly brighten the eyes. Line the lower waterline with white eyeliner, then create a sharp wing that extends from the outer third of the eye. After curling your lashes, apply a pair of full, wispy falsies for maximum bombshell impact. Finish with a brown-toned lip liner and an ultra-glossy lip for that quintessential Victoria’s Secret pout.
After all, we all deserve to feel like an angel from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
